I'm thinking about everything. Or maybe… i don't think?

Sony A7R II: You Need To Look Closer

Sony come back with their new full-frame mirrorless camera, Sony A7R II!

Rasanya, nggak nyampe setahun yang lalu gue menghadiri launching A7 II di Jakarta – dimana gue harus berpikir keras gimana ngebedain fungsi Sony A7, A7R, A7S, and A7 II. Hehe.

The event was held for media, distributor, and ambassador of Sony in South East Asia.

What i loved most is experience shooting session with this incredible camera.  I was quite confused when i thought why they only put A7R on table. They said, “All of these are A7R II”. And that’s true.

wondering where they put ‘II’ on the camera? Grab the camera and look closer 🙂

Ini yang gue komentarin ga penting emang, but that was my first impression. hahahaha.

I was shadowing (or you can tell i just being annoying) experts from Indonesia that also attended this event, Arbain Rambey, Christina (check her awesome instagram feed here, @sassychris1), Benny Kadar, and Upi Guava.

They tried about the most significant feature in this new full-frame mirrorless camera. The Focus Tracking System. Dan gue ngintip-ngintip kerjaan mereka dengan kamera ini and the camera behave very well. Why? Because Sony A7R II has 399 point phase-detection AF! Apa artinya?

We tried this feature and it works well 🙂 Ketika objek bergerak, titik fokusnya ngikutin.

  5. Viewfinder elektronik XGA OLED resolusi 2,36 juta dot
  6. and many more.. (see full specification on this post)

The specification and highlight will explain in another post 😉

Why you should buy Sony A7R II?

  1. Kamu anak full-frame banget yang mulai lelah bawa kamera gede. You are full-frame fanboy who already tired with big nasty camera size.
  2. Kamu belum punya kamera. You don’t have camera yet.
  3. Punya budget sekitar Rp43 jutaan. Have more than US$ 3199 (body only) and still have money for living.
  4. Tergiur sama spesifikasinya meski bisa aja kamu nggak paham-paham banget apa artinya. The specifications looks promising and you’re being curious. too much curious.
  5. Belum puas sama bodi kamera merek lain, meski kamu uda punya banyak lensanya. You don’t satisfy with your camera brand even though you have its lenses.
  6. Kamu sudah bosan sama merek mainstream. You are bored with your current camera.
  7. Kamu tampak elegan kaya image merek Sony. You want to look like Nicoline Patricia or Glenn Prasetya, fashion photographer, ambassador Sony cameras.

So, dare to try Sony A7R II?
